Important News!

19April07 - Just Added Some New Shows

Be sure to check out the schedule page. We've just added some new shows, a couple at the Three Lions Inn in Redmond, and an opening slot for Eric Burdon and The Animals. Of course we are still working on recording. We've backed up a few steps in the last few monthes and have been spending time working on getting ready to record. Things are coming together and we should begin recording again soon.

20February07 - Grinding Away

Some people describe the endeavor of recording music as a mystical communion with the muses and go on and on about finely crafted masterpieces and divine inspiration and whatnot. I could do that too. Maybe it sells magazines and dish soap or SUVs for whoever sponsors the kind of interviews where artists say that stuff, but here's the truth of it. That's only a fraction of it, a very small fraction of it. For us it's been mostly grinding away mercilessly chasing down the flaws in our playing and giving those gray areas in our arrangements some definition. We're working very hard to make something we can feel proud of when its done and it looks like it's going to take awhile.

23January07 - We're recording and working up some new stuff!

That's right. It may look like we've disappeared, gone dormant, or given up but its not really true. Besides a bit of a break for the holidays, we've been working hard on a new CD. Along with that we are planning to overhaul our show. After reviewing our set list while preparing to record I realized that a majority of the songs on our set list are the same ones we've been playing for the last six years. It's time for a change so we're working up some new stuff. What direction are we heading? I'm unsure. We'll know when we get there. We've tossed around the idea of including a few more rock tunes in our repertoire. That'll probably happen. We've already got a sound I'm pretty happy with. It's just time to play some new songs. So for those of you that enjoy what we've been doing, don't worry we have no intention of throwing everything out and starting over. The idea is to build on what we've already done.

2May06 - Tony Engelhart Reviews Us

We were pretty excited to discover this one. Check out the "About the Band" page to read what Tony had to say about us in the Weekly Volcano.

14April06 - Lakefair at the 4th Ave.

I just confirmed it. We'll be at the 4th Ave. in Olympia July 20th. That's Thursday night of Lakefair. Come on down to Lakefair, see the sights, then finish up the evening with us over at the 4th Ave. The show starts at 9 and goes to 1. Cover is only $3. If you need directions, the address and phone number for the 4th Ave. are on our schedule page. We'll see you there!

12April06 - Latest Rumors

I just added some new shows so check the schedule page. Secondly if you do the MySpace thing be sure to check out the band's page there. Can we be your friend? Lastly I'd like to start a rumor that we are talking about doing some recording. It's true. We're talking about it. It's definately time.

1Mar06 - Wade's Back!

First of all we'd like to welcome, err welcome back, our newest oldest member of the band. After a few years hiatus, Wade Stringer has rejoined the band on bass. We are working hard on getting back up to speed with him and are looking forward to our first gig together at The Central on March 26th.

1Mar06 - New Look For The Site

Also, as you may have noticed, I've revamped the site. I'm going for a little less hype and more of a friendly feel on this version. Let's face it. We aren't superstars here, we're just a group of guys who like to get together and have fun playing music. And if we're lucky, you enjoy listening to us do that. Does it really need to be anything more?

1Mar06 - We Need A Logo

Oh, and by the way, I could use a good logo design to replace the chicken scratchings on cardboard there at the top of the screen. I'm wanting something photographed for it. I've been kicking around some different ideas, like cutting it out of stainless steel with a torch or plasma cutter and laying it on a flat black background. Or maybe white lettering on flat black painted in a Von Dutch pinstripe style. I'm still thinking on it. Any ideas, any help, let me know. It's been the one thing holding up the revamp here, hence the crazy cardboard substitute.(which actually amuses me to no end!)

Once again, feel free to e-mail us and let us know what you think.
